Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The two guys who assisted us were great! The food and the atmosphere was perfect and we even arrived a bit late for the kitchen but they assured us there was no problem for that. The Negroni was delicious as well! If ever be back to Berlin we will for sure pay a visit again! Sorry for not mentioning your name guys, a very friendly Turkish waiter and an amazing Indian bartender!"
"It was a really nice , everything was top notch, i would start with the excellent service, the staff member she was super nice, helpful and friendly and kept checking on us making sure we had an excellent experience, and the food overall is freshly made, tasty and very well presented, the restaurant is full with customers yet it’s not annoying at all, English communication was really helpful , the only downside was that there is no card payment for such a busy and big restaurant it felt weird. I would definitely recommend and i will be happy to visit again"
"What an absolute gem of a restaurant. My partner and I went for dinner here a few days into our trip to Berlin from England. The food, atmosphere and service were incredible. We were blown away by the quality of our food - honestly the best pasta I’ve ever had. Highly recommend the linguine in lobster sauce. I was so starstruck by my meal I forgot to take a picture, but here is my partner’s Cordon Blu that was just as amazing. Everything about the restaurant was spot on and we are already planning to go back. We didn’t book , and whilst the restaurant was busy (always a good sign), we were seated straight away and served immediately. The whole experience was faultless and we couldn’t recommend it more."
"We know the Hüftgold from walking down Sonntagstraße. Since the restaurant is always busy, we spontaneously decided to have dinner there. The staff were all very nice and accommodating and we got one of the last tables. Our meal was good, though our expectations were a bit higher. Especially the Spätzle were a bit flavourless. Still, a solid restaurant that stands out especially for its location and atmosphere."
"Fantastic spot! The burger was juicy and full of flavor, schnitzel perfectly crispy with great sides, and the dessert (Kaiserschmarrn-style) was absolutely delicious. Portions are generous, prices fair, and everything tasted homemade and fresh. Only cash payment, but worth it, the food and atmosphere make up for it. Staff was friendly and fast. Highly recommend!"
"Love this cute little restaurant. Everyone is just so friendly, and the food is just delicious. They really make an effort to provide you with innovative food combinations and nice arrangements. Everyone will find something they like....I just love the vanilla curd and the lobster noodles!"
"Discovered this nice casual restaurant and it’s terrace in this new up and coming part of Friedrichshain. Food was freshly prepared and served in generous portions. Salads were very recomendable. Also coffee was good! Service could have been quicker."
"They told us at the beginning that it was cash only, atm across the street. This is normal in germany. Server was very friendly, the food was really tasty, we recommend the dumpling dish. Prices for the kids menu was also very low. The vibes were excellent. Definetly eat here!"
